Bach in Jerusalem Festival 2017 E-mail

The Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra presented the 2nd Bach in Jerusalem Festival from 20 to 25 March.

A highlight of the programme was a performance of Bach’s Mass in B minor, with leading soloists from Israel and Germany, conducted by Andrew Parrott. The programme also included orchestral and chamber concerts, free outdoor concerts, family concerts, masterclasses, an international symposium, and an exhibition featuring the treasures of Bach House in Eisenach, Germany. There was also a bell concert from the YMCA Tower Bell, which the public enjoyed during the evenings.

Other notable events in the festival included cantatas by Bach, performed by soprano Einat Aronstein; the Ricercar Ensemble from Belgium; a family concert, Boom, Crash, Bach with clown Fyodor Makarov, and an international symposium about Bach.
