Israeli film Mr. Gaga screened in India Print E-mail

The award-winning and critically acclaimed Israeli film Mr. Gaga was screened on 21 November at the India Habitat Center in New Delhi, India.

Released in 2015, Mr. Gaga tells the story of Ohad Naharin, a renowned choreographer and the artistic director of the Batsheva Dance Company. Acknowledged as an artistic genius, he pioneered Gaga, an innovative movement language, and redefined the language of modern dance. Director Tomer Heymann mixes intimate rehearsal footage with an extensive unseen archive and breathtaking dance sequences.

Heymann is an acclaimed Israeli filmmaker whose films have won major awards at prestigious film festivals. His film Paper Dolls won three awards at the 2006 Berlin International Film Festival and the audience’s award at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
