An Israeli Love Story premières in China E-mail

On 25 December, the Israeli film An Israeli Love Story premièred in Beijing. Directed by Dan Wolman and starring Israeli actors Adi Bielski and Aviv Alush, the film, released in 2017, is based on the true story of the love affair between Pnina Gary, from Nahalal, and Eli Ben-Zvi, son of Rachel Yanait and Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, the Second President of the State of Israel.
The film is set in 1947, during the turbulent period of prestate Israel. Margalit, a young girl, enjoys theatre and dreams of becoming an actress.

One day, she meets a boy called Eli and falls in love with him instantly. She tries to get close to him, hoping he’ll fall in love with her, but things do not go as planned because he’s too busy with the Palmach.
