Ringo Starr to perform in Israel E-mail

Former Beatle Ringo Starr will be performing two concerts with his All Starrs Band at the Menorah Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv on 23-24 June as part of his European tour.

Starr, an English songwriter, singer and actor, first became famous as the drummer for The Beatles, however since 1989 he has toured with his All Starrs Band. The 77year old released his 19th studio album, Give More Love, in September.

Born Richard Starkey on 7 July, 1940, he officially joined Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison in 1962 as the drummer for what would become one of the most important popular music acts of all time, or as Ringo says, “the biggest band in the land”.
