The 35th Jerusalem Film Festival Print E-mail

The 35th Jerusalem Film Festival (JFF) will take place this year from 26 July to 5 August.

Since its founding in 1984, JFF has become a significant international platform for the presentation of Israeli cinema and the exposure of the best of world cinema.

For 11 days, more than 200 films will be screened, offering a rich and varied programme, alongside numerous professional events for members of the film industry from Israel and abroad. Each year, the festival’s Gala Opening Ceremony takes place at the Sultan’s Pool, an ancient water basin that has been turned into an outdoor amphitheatre with spectacular views of the Old City walls. On opening night, which attracts thousands of viewers, the selected opening film is screened on an enormous screen in the presence of worldrenowned film directors and actors, local and international members of the film industry and the general public.

Additional events include nightly parties at the Jerusalem Cinematheque, outdoor screenings and festival activities throughout the city.
