Camaraderie: A photography exhibition about the B’nei Menashe E-mail

A new exhibition organised by Shavei Israel in November is currently on show at the AACI centre in Jerusalem. Entitled Camaraderie, it presents the works of participants in Yehoshua Halevi’s 2018 Master Photographer Year Course, among them Laura Ben-David, Shavei’s director of marketing and new media.

Laura’s photos were devoted to the journey of the B’nei Menashe from northeast India to Israel, and reflected three main chapters in their story: reminiscence of India, aliyah to Israel and their new life in the Jewish state.

The B’ nei Menashe are believed to be descended from the biblical tribe of Manasseh, one of the Ten Lost Tribes exiled from the Land of Israel more than 2,700 years ago.
