Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival featuring popcorn and pastrami E-mail

Now in its eighth year, the Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival is Asia’s only festival showcasing carefully selected Jewish-themed films from around the world. Beginning on 17 November through 25 November, fifteen first-run motion pictures from nine countries and in eight languages will be screened.

This year’s festival features theatrical releases and documentaries by some of the world’s leading directors. All but two of these films will make their regional debut and all will give viewers the opportunity to gain insight into Jewish culture from around the world.

World Music Days by the Daniel Pearl Foundation rocks Asia E-mail

Daniel Pearl, a Wall Street Journal reporter  was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in early 2002. The Daniel Pearl Foundation was formed by his family and friends.

The Tolman Collection Shanghai Gallery Opening E-mail

The Tolman Collection celebrated the successful opening of their newest gallery in Shanghai from 1 September to 2 September. The gallery opening featured the story of the Kaifeng Jews, a collection of some two dozen paintings by the Paris-based Chinese artist, Yin Xin.
