Israeli diamond exhibitors sparkle at the jewellery fair E-mail

The twenty-forth edition of Asia’s prestigious international jewellery event, proved to be its most successful fair ever.  Over forty-seven countries and regions participated in this year’s event, attracting tens of thousands of buyers and visitors from around the world. There were twenty-one national and Group Pavilions.

The Israeli Diamond Pavilion housed nearly fifty exhibitors, while around twenty other Israeli diamond manufacturers and exporters were located elsewhere in the show in the Hong Kong Convention Centre.

Infinity Venture Capital invests in the Chinese market E-mail

The Infinity Venture Capital, a 13-year-old Israeli company, manages more than US$300 million in assets and more than 40 portfolio companies. They are launching a new US$150 million fund of which a significant portion of the fund will invest in Israeli companies that are operating in China.

Weizmann Institute contracts to develop snakebite remedy for Indian company E-mail

Biological E Ltd., an Indian pharmaceutical company, purchased from the Weizmann Institute of Science and Yeda Research and Development Company, the development rights for a product to treat bites from a poisonous snake commonly found in Asia.

The vaccine will be used to treat the venom Bungarus Multicinctus.

Amdocs contracts with Japan's Jupiter E-mail

Amdocs Ltd signed a contract with Jupiter Telecommunications Co. Ltd (J:COM), Japan’s largest cable provider.

Under the contract, Amdocs will provide J:COM with billing and customer relations management services through 2009. The systems integrator will be BillingSoft Japan, Amdocs’ business partner.

Oppenhaim makes the most of her connections E-mail

Michal Oppenhaim, now an associate with Hong Kong Executive Search, has truly made the most of her expat experience and has reinvented herself.

Five years ago, Michal moved to Hong Kong with her husband and three children and put her teaching skills to use as a Hebrew teacher for Carmel School.
