Kehilat Zion of Hong Kong has announced that they will coordinate worship services, Torah learning opportunities and the provision of kosher food for the 104th Canton Fair.

They have contracted with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Guangzhou for the opening of a synagogue and glatt kosher restaurant and the use of the hotel’s services during the fair.

The Canton Fair or China Import and Export Fair, has been held twice a year in Spring and Autumn since 1957. It is China’s largest trade fair and it attracts scores of international visitors each year.

Kehilat Zion has also arranged for discounted room rates with the Ritz-Carlton for visitors booking rooms through them for the fair. The hotel is just over ten minutes from the convention centre and shuttle bus services will be available for community members during fair hours.
