Indo-Israel counter-terrorism conference E-mail

The 6th Meeting of India-Israel Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism was held on 13 March 2007 in New Delhi. It was preceded by the 3rd round of Dialogue on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation on 12 March 2007.

The Israeli delegation was led by Ms. Miriam Ziv, Deputy Director General, Strategic Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Indian side was headed by Mr. K. C. Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs.

Indonesia faces expulsion from ITF E-mail

Indonesia may face expulsion from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for their recent refusal to pay a fine assessed by the ITF. The fine was in response to Indonesia’s refusal to play Israel in the Federation Cup.

The ITF acts as the centralising authority, responsible for administering and regulation of the game through 205 National Associations.

Rabbi Pinto and event organiser George Bohbot

On 21 March, Tsaddik Rav David Hanani Pinto met with Hong Kong’s Jewish community.  Over one-hundred-fifty people gathered for the opportunity to hear Rabbi Pinto speak at this event organised by George Bohbot.

Many community members also met with Rabbi Pinto privately to impart with some of his wisdom or to get a blessing, from him, for themselves or their children.

Most of the congregation appeared awestruck as the learned tsaddik delivered an inspiring speech. Rabbi Pinto left the audience deep in contemplative thought.

His meaningful address beautifully wove together personal stories with Torah and created meaning in even the seemingly mundane.

Israeli art therapist creates hope in Krabi, Thailand E-mail

In Krabi, an art therapy workshop was led by Israeli art therapist, Chanina Noifeld. The two-day workshop, designed for Thai teachers, was part of the Embassy of Israel's continued commitment towards post-Tsunami aid.

Noifeld's workshop, entitled "Child's Inner World Enrichment through Art Tools", drew dozens of local teachers at Banklongmuang School.
