Zhengkhou has been chosen to host the Asian Art Festival which will feature thirty-seven performing troupes from over 20 countries and regions.

The 10th Asian Art Festival, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the Henan provincial government and organised by the Henan Culture Bureau, the Zhengzhou city government and Kaifeng city government, will be held in Zhengzhou and neighbouring Kaifeng from 26 September through 8 October. The festival includes performances, movies, cultural activities, exhibitions and a trade fair.
