Music-loving hippies to head to Negev Desert for Zorba the Buddha Festival E-mail

The “Zorba the Buddha Festival” will take place in the Desert Ashram in the Negev Desert for the 28th time this year, from 19 to 22 October.

More commonly known as Israel’s largest hippy festival, it features live performances, workshops and meditation sessions by some of the best musicians, instructors and gurus from Israel and abroad.

The festival takes place twice a year during Spring and Fall, during the festivals of Sukkot and Pesach. Over 1,200 people are expected to participate this year.

Founded in 2003, the fourday festival is a celebration of spirituality, dance, meditation and music in the outstanding beauty of the desert in the south of Israel.
