Hong Kong book launch for a new publication on China-Jewish Israel relations |

In an event in Hong Kong on 14 March, hosted by the Consulate General of Ireland in Hong Kong, the Englishlanguage edition of the book Israel and China: From the Tang Dynasty to Silicon Wadi by author Mark O’Neill was officially launched. In attendance were Peter Ryan, Ireland’s Consul General to Hong Kong; Ahuva Spieler, Israel’s Consul General to Hong Kong; Rabbi Asher Oser of the Ohel Leah Synagogue, and local and Jewish community members. The author gave a fascinating presentation about the book, what inspired him to do the research, and how he contacted many members of the Jewish community for interviews.
