Alvarion Limited, a leading provider of 4G networks in the broadband wireless access market, recently announced it was selected by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Alvarion’s local partner Vuppalamritha Magnetic Components Limited (VMC), to supply base stations with related professional services for the building of a 4G wireless broadband network in rural India.

The deployment is valued at over US$10 million for the supply of infrastructure equipment for a network in rural India.
