Hong Kong’s Traders Hotel welcomes a new General Manager |

Hong Kong’s Jewish community are very familiar with attending kosher banqueting events over many years at the Aberdeen Marina Club. The club has been the main venue location for a host of functions including Chabad’s Annual Dinner. More recently, Israel’s 65th Anniversary reception, which was attended by local government officials including the Hong Kong Chief Executive was held there. The club is managed by the Shangri-La Hotel Group and was successfully run by the General Manager, David Preisig. Preisig has now moved to a new hospitality venture, but remains within the Shangri-La Group. He has joined Traders Hotel. The Traders brand is new to Hong Kong, but very well established in Asia, especially in Singapore and Malaysia. Theyalso operate hotels in the Philippines and China. The Traders Hotel in Hong Kong is located in the Western District of Hong Kong island, and this is its first building in Hong Kong. There are plans to develop more locations in the city. The Swiss national has enjoyed a long International career in the hospitality industry. He first came to Hong Kong 20 years ago, when he fell in love with the city and vowed to return to work here someday. He has spent most of the last five years at the Aberdeen Marina Club.
