The PillCam SB Capsule Endoscope, used to diagnose gastrointestinal diseases, was recently cleared for marketing in Japan.
The PillCam was developed by Israel’s Given Imaging as a diagnostic tool to find conditions from acid reflux to pre-cancerious lesions in the human digestive tract. Patients swallow the PillCam with water, and images are sent to a Walkman-like recorder taped to his abdomen.

Property magazine launched |

Launching a magazine in 2002 covering Discovery Bay wasn’t enough for Corinne Jedwood and Tzachi Rechter. Their latest undertaking is Square Foot, a glossy English bi-weekly devoted to Hong Kong’s property market.
The magazine is an answer to several needs. “Hong Kong has a strong property culture; everybody is interested in property. The market changes rapidly, and people are always looking for a good deal, so there is a lot of turnover,” says Ms. Jedwood.

Hong Kong artist designs Judaica for charity |

What began as a project to help her children learn about tzedakah has turned into a business for Hong Kong artist Lori Ormut-Durbin.
Her company XZYNG Judaica grew out of her children’s charity club, Kids for Israel, and her interest in textile Judaica that was in turn sparked by the Parochet she designed and had made for the Centennial celebration of Ohel Leah Synagogue in 2003.
