Dr. Alvin Chan, a paediatric neurologist, has opened a partnership called Children@818. The Hong Kong practice focuses on children with different special needs. Chan’s partners, Dr. Suzanne Chow and Dr. Alfred Tam, are both paediatric respirologists, so the areas of focus are asthma, allergies, and neurological problems.

Zim to purchase more ships |

Zim Shipping Services has just purchased eight container mega ships adding to its recent purchases of twelve ships and lease agreement for a dozen more.
Zim signed a US$1 billion deal with the Korean Hyundai shipyard. The deal will expand shipping lines throughout Asia, Europe and America.

Galerie Vee introduces Chinese contemporary glass art |

A new exhibition recently opened at Galerie Vee in Hong Kong on 8th June, called China Rises: The Evolution. It features the work of Zhuang Xiaowei and his students Wang Qin, Zhao Tingting and Yang Meihua.
“Art in glass is now, in China, where photography was 15 years ago,” says Vanessa Taub, Galerie Vee’s owner. “Zhuang is the real pioneer in this medium. He’s spent a lot of time working to bring the art to prominence, and to have it recognised as a true new art form.”
