Jewish communities across Asia, like others globally, held Yom HaShoah ceremonies. The theme for the Hong Kong community was “The Human Spirit in the Shadow of Death”.  The memorial event took place on Sunday, 15 April 2007 at the Jewish Community Centre.

Over one hundred participants and attendees were present, representing the entire spectrum of Jewish life in Hong Kong. Amongst the attendees, there were several children present as well as survivors themselves and children of survivors. The event clearly drew no boundaries and unified us as a people in our determination to never forget.
