As part of Israel's ongoing response to the Nargis Cyclone effects, within the framework of the bilateral cooperation programme between Myanmar and Israel, a short term course on Sustainable Water Resource Development and Soil and Water Salinity Management in Irrigated Agriculture was recently held at the Irrigation Technology Centre (ITC) in Bago.

The programme was coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture & Irrigation of Union of Myanmar and MASHAV - Center for International Cooperation Ministry of Foreign Affairs of State of Israel, in cooperation with the Embassy of Israel, Yangon.
