Singapore home to conference between Israelis and Christians E-mail

The ‘Jerusalem Summit Asia’ held a conference in Singapore in order to foster an alliance between Jews and Christians against worldwide Islamic extremists.

The conference is organised by conservative Israelis in support of the Knesset’s Christian Allies Caucus and funded by the private Michael Cherney foundation.

Israeli backpackers flock to Chabad during recent coup E-mail

Chabad House in Bangkok found itself host to hundreds of Israeli backpackers seeking shelter from potential danger during

Thailand’s recent coup.  Chabad was flooded with calls from Israel while over one dozen tanks and armoured vehicles, carrying machine-gun toting soldiers, rolled through the streets.

Israeli ambassador seeks open dialogue E-mail

Malaysia and Indonesia, both with predominantly Muslim populations, have refused to consider diplomatic relations with Israel.
However Israel is taking the  initiative  seeking an open dialogue with these two nations to attempt to develop relations.

The recent conflict in the Middle East generated numerous anti-Israel protests, with some Malaysian and Indonesian demonstrators even volunteering to go to the Middle East to fight the Jewish state.

Two Israelis charged with murder of an Israeli in Sydney E-mail

A brutal knife attack on an Israeli in Bondi resulted in his death following emergency surgery.  Two fellow Israelis have been charged with the murder.

Hernan Guelman, age 36, was beaten and stabbed multiple times by Dror and Ezra Salah.  The brothers surrendered to police and a third man is still wanted for questioning.

Sydney also victim of recent attacks E-mail

Within a two week time period the Sydney Jewish community was the victim of two major attacks on local synagogues as well as a series of smaller anti-Semitic incidents.  The latest attack was on the synagogue in Parramatta.

Concrete bricks were thrown into the stained glass windows of the shul as well as into the windows of two cars parked on the property.  At the time of the attack, Rabbi Yosef Wernick, his wife, and six children were in their home, located adjacent to the synagogue.
