Hong Kong Israeli Film Festival |

A wide variety of feature and short films is scheduled for 9-26 May. The Consulate-General of Israel and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department are sponsors.
Feature films by Assi Dayan, Dan Wolman and Amos Gitai, and four short films will be screened at Hong Kong’s City Hall Theatre, Lecture Halls at the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Hong Kong Space Museum, and the Cinema of the Hong Kong Film Archive.

Rabbis win Japanese peace award |

The Niwano Peace Foundation, one of the world’s leading foundations that contributes to the realisation of world peace and the enhancement of culture, announced recently that it will award the twenty-third Niwano Peace Prize to Rabbis for Human Rights of Israel.
The prize is awarded annually to a living individual or an organisation that is making a significant contribution to world peace through promoting inter-religious cooperation.
